2025 is rapidly drawing to a close and spring weather is currently with us. Rain and hail, plus the occasional sunny day. Seems the seasons have moved.

An "interesting" auction on the 8th of November. A lot of test equipment, an AWA Empire State" for only $400 and an Astor "Harbour Bridge" for $2000. Admittedly the AWA had case damage, but it seemed in good condition otherwise. The Astor had been bought for $2800 earlier in the year, so an $800 loss. How low can prices go? Well it's not just radios, I know a couple of people in the antiques business and it's everything. The "Baby Boomers" who pushed up the market are beginning to downsize and get rid of things, and the younger generations are simply not interested. They are more concerned with what's on their phones. The only thing that's increasing in price are old computers.

Adobe goodbye. I've cancelled my subscription to the Adobe Creative Suite. I have been using Photoshop since 1990's and know it inside out, along with Acrobat. I also taught InDesign. Adobe software was always a cut above the rest, even if the interface changes were frustrating. Premier on the other hand was always nasty. It was cheap for me as I had a Teacher/Student licence, but the cost has gone from about $1 a day to $4 a day, and that's far too much for a casual user. I'm going to pull out the old Mac for which I have the pre-subscription discs. It will still be adequate for my uses and have NO AI CRAP.

Electronics' wise I've started on an 1958 European Philips B3X75U/12. The chassis is a wreck, but the cabinet is in reasonable condition. See my YouTube channel.

I also have a very big Peavey amp in. It's way to big and heavy to bring in, so it won't be a fix I can do on the channel.

I finally fixed the Arcam CD192. Problem is I decided to move the Rotel RA980 amp and the door bell rang half way through the move. I did the sale of the Panasonic SG-3060 and 15 minutes later I came in and the cd play was playing nicely. Half way across the room and it suddenly went dead. The CD player was still spinning. I turned of the amp and picked it up. I was red hot and I dropped it... on the CD192. Of course the CD player had it cover off and the corner of the amp hit the cd mechanism and CD went flying. I though the drawer was broken, but no it was swapped and working in another player. The Arcam turns on, but the screen doesn't work and it doesn't play. The amp is dead.

Rover 75 news. The Airbag light is coming on intermittently - so no Roadwothy yet. I suspect the under seat connector as they always go bad. The boot is also leaking - still. It's not the tail lights, but rivets that hold the clip for the metal surrounding the back window. The channel had never been cleaned and was full of mud allowing the rivets to rust. My first Honda Accord needed the rubber strip along the roof to be cleaned regularly as that did the same thing. The front panels where they met the A pilar did the same thing and filled with mud, at least the Rover has arch liners
