Kriesler 11-4 Radio (Beehive)

These radios are quite popular with collectors and I jumped at the chance to get three at a deceased eastate in April 2024. Although they are in fairly poor condition, the dial glass is good in all, and two cabinets are not cracked.

I intend to fully restore these radios with the cracked one painted the rare green colour. The painted versions were made out of left over non matching parts towards the end of production. There were more cream than green variants.

There were no less than 36 variations of this radio in a 2 year life. So the poor assembly women must have had a devil of a time. Such was manufacturing in the post war years. However 36 must be some sort of record!
