This is the venerable R-1077S that runs on 3 volts. It has very similar circuitry to the R-70 and R-72. It was produced from 1972. The original 9 volt version was made from 1969.

The unit was purchased at the HRSA Glen Iris deceased estate sale for $5 in Feb 2023. It works well with it's little Pioneer speaker.
