Toshiba was almost as big as Sony when it came to consumer electronics, but sadly failed to make an impact on the Australian market.

This radio has a similar style to the National Panasonics of the time, apart from the oval speaker grill. In fact it may have been made by Matsushita and branded Toshiba.
