Hotpoint was a British brand of GEC (General Electric Corporation) who were closely associated with the United States parent company - GE.

As AWA was associated with GE for patents an extensive number of sets were sold under the AGE (Australian General Electric) and Hotpoint brands.

Hotpoint still make an extensive range of White Goods in Britain for the European market.
