Peter Pan

Peter Pan was a brand of Eclipse which in turn was a brand owned from 1939 by Electrictonic Industries Ltd.

The Peter Pan brand was one of many but was generally more "up market" looking than Astor.

I currently have two Peter Pan radios as below.

FKL - circa 1951.

This particular radio was won in a hard fought HRSA auction in 2022. The National (Adelaide) branded one in Ivory I didn't win. It was sold on ebay a week later for twice the winning price. I hate people who take advantage of the club like that.

This example is under going restoration as at the end of August 2025, hence the lack of knobs. It is not working.

These were also sold under the Mercury brand name.

It's a four valve radio.

CPM - circa 1953. Also known a the "snail".

This radio was purchased in a HRSA auction in 2021. It was not expensive, mainly because it has a small heat stress crack that is not uncomon with these cabinets. It also has slight rubbing of the station face, and a wrong volume knob.

This example has not been touched since purchase as it works.
