Mullard

Mullard was a British company. The brand name was used in Australia on Airzone radio's from 1937 to 1939. Philips used the brand name on variations of their radio until around 1954 following their purchase of Mullard in Great Britain. The Mullard name continued on Vacuum valves, i.e. they were rebranded Philips tubes.

This 1001, either A, B, or C revision the base/back is missing and will need to be re-made. The 1001 and it's sibling the Jubilee 4 were not made, while the final D variation used an EZ82.  It was purchased at the July 2025 auction for $15. It's in okay physical condition. However, it will require repainting. They were available in Blue, Green, and Ivory paint for 10 shillings extra over the standard Brown finishes.

It's a fairly standard 4 valve set that used the new 9 pin "Noval" valves except for the 6X5 rectifier.

It's on the list for restoration.

Valve line up: 6AN7, 6N8, 6M5, 6X5.
