Yes it's almost the end of August. Still no word on the biopsy, but they are extremely busy.
It's the end of winter and the weather is beginning to become warm again with tops around the 18 degree mark. So I can get out into the garage without my hands becoming numb!
To that end I've pulled out my Nakamichi 580. One of the motors has the date code of 26 Aug 81, so I bought it almost 45 years ago! Unfortunately the take up spool is not working in play mode but it is working in fast forward. Would have been nice if it was the other way around!
Since my last post I fixed the two HMV radio's, another HMV portable, a Rotel 971, a Pioneer SG 9800 - at last, a few valve (tube) radio's, and a Pioneer cassette deck from 1976, plus 3 vibrator 1956 Ford FoMoCo/Bendix truck radio's. So all those customers are happy.
I'm currently working on a very nice Yamaha CA-2010, and a Rexox A77 Mk 3.
Still to finish the Sanyo reel to reel. A Rotel R-05 that has had a drink spilt into it seems to be a lost cause. It has a proprietary programmed control chip.
